What is Diesel Bug
Diesel bug is a microbial growth that occurs in diesel fuel tanks. Since the introduction of Bio Fuels into raw diesel the number of engine breakdowns has increased significantly due to diesel bug. Ten years ago our trade knew there was some sort of problem but didn't really know what it was. We just knew it caused many engine breakdowns and seemed to originate from the fuel tanks. Frankly speaking the problem which at the time was without remedy proved to be very irritating, rather like an annoying bug. Hence the name Diesel Bug. Like most things with time came research and development and now we know that the black sludgy stuff that stops the engine is an organic growth. A significant number of engine breakdowns now occur because of diesel bug.
